Our Story

In 2006 Ozwide Energy was founded on three key principles: A strong understanding of the energy industry, always delivering the highest quality work, and pushing the boundaries of existing energy solutions to achieve even greater benefits and outcomes.

15 years later, these foundational principles remain integral to the success of Ozwide Energy and our partners. Our Team

Mark Ploenges

Founder and Managing Director

Mark founded Ozwide Group in 2006 with a transmission to Ozwide Energy in 2019. His key role is to lead an experienced and focused team providing customers with a high-level service and a ‘can do’ approach to pricing, quality and delivery. Specialising in the energy efficiency sector Mark helps facilitate the energy programs rolled out by Federal and State Governments. Mark is also a qualified electrician.

Daisy Yao

Assistant Compliance Manager

Daisy works closely alongside Anais as part of the Project Compliance team. Daisy provides exceptional communication and organisational support to ensure the compliance of the business runs efficiently alongside general administrative support.

Emilien Romulus

Systems Analyst

Emilien provides a key support role to Mark through technical analysis, maintaining and upgrading the internal systems and process key aspects of trading. His market expertise and exceptional computing skills provides Ozwide a unique business intelligence system and quality management.

Anais Rembeau

Project Compliance and Delivery Manager

Anais manages and leads our compliance team, ensuring all standards are met and fully understood. With her level of expertise in business management she oversees all projects to ensure Ozwide has conducted its business in full compliance according to government and program regulations.

Julie Phok

Compliance Officer

Julie helps to ensure the compliance of the business is carried out effectively. Her role is to provide support to the compliance and general administration divisions of the business, utilising her strong interpersonal skills.

Brodie Parker

Settlements Manager

Brodie works alongside Mark for trading support. His role involves monitoring energy markets to generate daily, weekly and monthly reports to the board of Directors. Brodie gathers information from internal and external resources to inform the Directors about recent and future events within the energy market. Brodie’s creditable organisational and support skill sets ensure all trades are carried out in an accurate and timely manner.

Michael Harper

Finance Manager

Michael manages the finance area for the Ozwide Energy group of entities. Michael is a CPA with extensive industry experience.  With a hands on approach by partnering with stakeholders, the objective is to drive and deliver business performance.  With technical and commercial acumen, problems are identified and resolved with stakeholder buy-in and a solution driven approach. A major focus is on costs, ideas and organisational processes.
